Following on from the updated advice from the government, athletic associations, and due to the fact Leeds City Council will be closing all public sports centres from midnight tonight, we have taken the decision to suspend ALL training sessions with effect immediately. We will constantly review this and update all members as soon as any further information is available. The Zwift session running tomorrow (18/03/20) will still go ahead, and we will look into increasing the use of this kind of technology and how we can engage our athletes in alternative ways during this time. LBT Committee
Given the current climate the LBT Committee feel that is important to update our members in respect of Covid – 19, and our training sessions and events. We are currently adopting a business as usual position in line with Government and BTF guidance, should you wish to explore this please see the below links – https://www.britishtriathlon.org/important-information-on-c… https://www.gov.uk/…/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-res… This decision has also been taken in conjunction with our partners who provide the facilities we use for our sessions. Please be assured that if this guidance/advice changes we will review our position and take the appropriate action, immediately. We would ask all members to take the time to review the guidance available and act accordingly, personnel hygiene is critical to reducing the risk, and we would ask that if members feel ill / under the weather they do not attend club sessions. We will be encouraging our coaches to be proactive in encouraging increased hygiene at club sessions and asking members who present as ill to not attend/leave the session. Please support our coaches in this, they are doing it for the benefit of all those present. If you wish to contact me in respect of the above, please feel free do so via the below email – email@example.com Thank you for your support, happy training and hopefully here’s to a great year of racing.
